Inspired by the Palau Pledge and as part of our commitment to the environment, AIS Forum is planning to launch the Archipelagic and Island States Pledge to Ecotourism during the AIS Startup & Business Summit 2019. The AIS Pledge for Ecotourism represents ideals that should be implemented for a sustainable ecotourism industry to be established or maintained across all AIS participating countries. This ecotourism pledge will benefit local, regional and global stakeholders due to the interconnected nature of marine ecosystems and increasingly significant cross-border partnerships.
